Now again...
He said "you get married because you were in love, but getting a divorce because you cannot live with each other"...
So? What's marriage for? Is it for good and better? Or is it for good and bad?
The meaning of companionship iswider than an entire encyclopediabut yet a small pen depending on the person using it...
Everyone writes and rewrites companionship to suit them... Some go into this tie only when they stand to gain, if not, who cares... Some go into this tie cos they were forced into it by reasons best known to them... Some who started as young loversafter a night or two together, a consequence results, inorder to save face and name, they enter into companionship and at the later end, regret it...'she was not the actual girl for me, it's the condition i'm in.' or even the reverse.
What he has just said has little or no positive effect as this will only encourage more divorce and more regrets... Regrets, how? Take instances of a girl, 26 years old, hearing this and seeing the conditions of her married friends may choose to become unmarriedand maybe until she realises the true meaning of "for better & for worse" she'd have turned 32 or even older... Only an unmarried 42will get married to such... She'll begin to regret having delayed long instead of getting married... inotherwords, this has solved nothing.
Agreed that you get married to a man and never knew he was a beast, or a woman who is crazy, what are love and enlightenment program for? We have "beauty and the beast"... This story has some lessons or some meaning...we only take out the fun aspect and leave out the meaning... In a marriage a man can be the beauty and the womana beast or the reverse, something caused it to become so, but at the end of the tale, the beast came back to normal why? Because beauty stil remained with him all through... I will not say beauty wasn't scared at first seeing beastbut with time they both understood each other and eventually things worked out well...
What then could make love stronger only if things gets tough and almost gets out of hand... What there is to know about companionship is UNDERSTANDING.. . There can be no love without understanding, there can be no true love without regrets, there can be no true love without seeing your companion for who he or she is... And this was one of what he said that made a little sense...
Beware folks... Don't throw a lasting relationship into the wind because of what people may say or may even think... You are your own person and with marriage you both become one... Just as God made Adam and Eve one, Abraham and Sarah one, and all others...
For advice, counselling, visit your minister or pastors or priests and talk to them about what you hear outside...
I am but a speculator and also need more counselling than anyone... Be happy with what you have or you'll regret loosing it.
